MPS的电源芯片将上下MOS管、控制电路、驱动以及保护电路等有源部分以及电感等无源器件集成在一起,构成**基本的电源模块架构,可解决电源领域遇到的种种挑战。通过高集成方案帮助客户缩短从选型到各类设计再到可靠性验证的**,根据MPS给出的数据,将由18周缩短到5周,提高了70%以上。
值得注意的是,MPS没有自己的晶圆厂和封装厂,但却投入大量开发新的工艺技术,并租用晶圆厂设备,公司将其称之为Fablite模式,既保证了工艺的独到性,又可以更有效率利用资金成本。而这些技术除了实现小型化之外,在散热、EMI、噪声及功耗方面同样都利用工艺和设计,可以达到更优化的效果。比如在EMI方面,MPS利用集成的对称输入电容,通过相反的电流方向,有效的反相抵消了“热环路”电磁场。此外,MPS产品利用可编程频谱展开,芯片开关频率在预设频率附近扩展,降低尖峰噪声,dv/dt也可调节至符合 EMI 要求的水平。
在支持多路电源输出时,MPS采用的是推出PMIC方式,比如赛灵思的ZYNQ系列需要四路电源,而新推出的54304直接支持4路输出,同时为了客户的差异化,MPS也有更多单路输出电源提供,支持并联、多路输出、时序控制等不同功能,而针对FPGA的多路输出产品,则更加方便。
针对FPGA的单路输出产品,孙毅特别强调了MPS具有更好的动态负载性能。比如采用两个MPM3695,实现100A跳变方案,满足赛灵思过冲和下跳不能超过±25mV的要求,而且只用了6颗电容,非常简洁地完成了FPGA的要
